Family Fun mini album for Creative Embellishments

Hi Fellow scrappers and mini album lovers..
I'm here to share a mini album I created as my design team project for Creative Embellishments.
I think creating mini albums is so much..Definitely up there in top 3 favorite styles of crafting I like to create.
I used some corrugated cardboard that came in some pillows I had purchased.. Such a great way to recycle right?..   I decided to keep this mini album on the whimsy side and just goes to show how great these chipboard elements are even when not creating a mixed media style project..
The cardboard measures 7 1/4 x 5 1/4..
Here is the album I created:
The papers I used are by Simple Stories.. I love their whimsical prints :)  for the cover, I used the words Family and Fun from the Celebrate word set and the Chicken Wire panel.. I used Archival ink in brown to color the chipboard, then added drops of white paint by Ranger.
The photos in the album are from when we moved into our new place and needed to start cleaning the beach area, which hadn't been taken care of for years...
I covered some of my chipboard elements with the papers I used for my mini.
For the first page, I used an arrow from the Arrow set.
I covered the chipboard elements (Arrows and mushrooms) with the papers I used for my mini..
the back cover..
and there you have my fairly quick project that was just so much fun to create..
Thank you for stopping by today.. Till next time.

Cute boy layout: CE daily

Happy June fellow scrappers.. I've kept myself busy the last few weeks playing with some of the great chippies from the Creative Embellishments store and able to get some old photos scrapped for my sons album.. I started out with just a plain piece of white cardstock, then mixed some black paint with texture paste, stencil, the Distressed checkered stamp (which was absolutely perfect for this layout) and some paint splatters in different colors to create my background..

Here is what I created :

This is an older photo of my son Aaron when his dad took him to watch the dragsters.. He had a blast...
I chose some of my favorite papers by Bo Bunny.. Was able to utilize the smaller 6x6 paper stack by creating a cluster in the middle of my layout.. did not have to waste a lot of paper :)
How about a few close ups:
I painted all of the chippies I used using acrylic paint in prime colors.. then added a few drops of studio white paint by Ranger..

For the photo frame (polaroid) I rubbed it with some of the texture paste that I had mixed with black paint to give some texture..
I wanted to create some fun play on words for my title and so clustered the words with the stars.. I really wanted my layout to look like it was for a little boy..
I also randomly placed chipboard arrows and gears all over my layout.. That was a lot of fun.
Thanks for stopping by today..
till next time
hugs

The Naked Beach layout-CE monthly challenge

Hi fellow scrappers.. did I get your attention with the title of my post? ..LOL   I created a funny layout for our monthly challenge post over at Creative Embellishments using a photo of my boys taking a bath when they were super small...

Here is the layout I created:

I had a lot of fun playing with various ink sprays and of course my favorite papers by Bo Bunny.
I adore the Nautical themed chippies in the Creative Embellishments store.. They are so much fun to create with..
How about a few close ups:

I wanted to create different textures.. I used texture paste and a stencil to create my background.  Adding art stones which I painted brown to represent sand..

I had a lot of fun playing with the title.. I used the basic Alphabet set to create the word NUDE in my title.. I tucked some of the fishnet panel behind my photo and on the side of my layout..
and there you..
Hope you join us with out monthly challenge this month.. lots of great prizes to be won :)
thanks for stopping by..
till next time
